Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
This role involves supporting the HR function through different activities. Including working with learning, talent management, performance, skills, etc. as well as more administrative roles.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of responsibility, enough to challenge me but not overwhelm me. I had support from my manager and team throughout the whole placement.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have developed my communication skills, critical thinking, time management, creative, teamwork and initiative. I have also developed my use of excel, share point, power point, and other tools. I have learned a lot about HR, how it works and the impact is has, as well as the project management functional side.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I have received a lot of support, from my manager and my team. I have also been given the opportunity to work in tasks with other teams to broaden my experience and knowledge. I have also been part of senior meetings where I have learned a lot and been involved in training on HR.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The atmosphere is great. Although it is a very big company and you won't see everyone at the office because they are all in different locations, you get to meet those in your local office which is great. People are very nice and helpful, especially as you are just starting out. Everyone is very relaxed as well, even when talking to senior colleagues you won't feel pressure or out of place.
