Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Managing subcontractors completing design work and construction work on the resignalling of rail works in, Devon and Cornwall and South Wales. This involves managing the contracts and changes, and ensuring we get paid from the client monthly and then pay the subcontractors monthly as well. Any claims or changes from the client.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, it was my responsibility that the subcontractors received their payment on time and for the correct reviewed amount. As well as ensure the changes to the conteact value were correctly assessed and sent to the subcontractors and client.
