Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?

Great experience so far, feel as though the graduate scheme helps ease people into the role and responsibilities

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

Rig testing and updating test case documents. Enjoy the rig testing as it breaks up the traditional office based work; its more hands on and practical while I do like updating the test cases as these will be tested in future

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

4/5
Overall very good, as I am still learning I am figuring things out and slowly taking on more responsibilities.

How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

3/5
Average, I believe there are many perks to BAE but have not been able to use them fully yet. The share incentive scheme is a great idea

How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

5/5
A lot of the companies behaviours are being developed here. I see myself here long term so want to consider professional registration and becoming a higher grade

How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

4/5
Very good, becoming better at the role

Experience & Company Culture

How is the support you receive?

4/5
Overall very good, only minor improvement would be that managers/seniors are not always there to attend my concerns, but this is understandable because they have a heavy workload and are balancing their time

How is your work-life balance?

3/5
Currently something I want to improve and focus on

What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

5/5
Great learning environment with mixed people

How would you rate BAE Systems initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

5/5

How would you rate BAE Systems CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

3/5
Not sure what this is and how it affects me currently

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?

Yes

Why?

Great place to work, impressive projects, leading and innovative company, care for their employee, meaningful work, long lasting career

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

4/5
Overall very good, I have not found this in my role but heard a lot of people on the grad scheme entered their role and it was not what they were expecting

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?

Be proactive, speak to the recruiting team.
