As a cable jointer I fix mains underground cable faults as well as new supplies to customers and network maintenance for the electricity grid.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it thoroughly as everyday is different and a challenge so I’m never bored.

Well thought out however constant changes and lack of communication between departments makes things less efficient.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am well supported by my peers and staff I work with on a daily basis, the training school are also very helpful.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Help is available when needed however organising and finding opportunities can be tricky.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Without the training from the training school I would not be able to complete my job.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there is, however the times of these events and the content is not relevant or accessible to operational roles such as mine.
