Overall, how would you describe your experience at Virgin Media O2?
A great experience on the finance graduate scheme so far - I'm able to be exposed to key parts of the business and also a good graduate community available.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
The current main responsibilities are looking after the month end accounting including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and aligning numbers with stakeholders.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I'm able to work on a key area of the my team with autonomy, and also have access to the necessary support when needed.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Good benefits as expected, big discount on broadband bundles and phone contracts. Also, a big focus on volunteering with 5 days that can be used.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Good exposure within a major organisation, and 3 different rotations for 3 different roles with a CIMA qualification.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Formal training opportunities are regular and useful, with some including Presentation training and Stakeholder engagement training.

How is the support you receive?

Line managers are usually supportive of your goals on the rotations, and always are available to offer insight into other areas or point you in the right direction. Also, you get assigned a buddy before you start who is a key contact point in the business.
How is your work-life balance?

It can be busier in different parts of the month e.g. Management accounts have a busy start of the month in month-end, but overall good.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

The culture is good, everyone is supportive in the business to you and your goals. It's also easy to reach out to others within the business regardless of position.
