Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The insight was very welcoming for people who didn't have any prior knowledge about insurance. We had the privilege to speak with all levels of employees throughout the week (even a ceo omg!!)We spent the week going through different workshops to give us deeper understanding of what howden does and its impacts while also having the time to network with individuals aswell. We also visited the lloyd’s building aswell which was such a great experience, we were able to talk to the brokers who work in the building and learn so much more about the rich history of the building

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really easy to learn as they were very good at explaining each different role that one could go into and what they actually do. I learnt so much about the different journeys people took to make it to that point which also gave me a greater insight to what is available for me

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I learnt more about how to present myself in a corporate setting and how communication is one of the most impactful skills someone could improve. Also I have developed my critical thinking skills as we did projects where we had to think as someone who is trying to get the insurance to sign our contract

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very welcoming, everyone was eager to speak and help with questions that we had. Was such a nice atmosphere aswell I didnt feel out of place at all
