Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Decent and interesting
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My main responsibilities are technical capability and understanding. I enjoy the opportunity to take part in interesting activities in a supportive environment.

Would benefit from more opportunities to gain technical experience outside of project work (like formal training), in an environment more accommodating to mistakes.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Day-to-day role offers many opportunities for development, however runs the risk of being the only way as formal training is difficult to finance and find the time for.

How is the support you receive?

Line Manager is supportive and relatively hands-off but always available to chat when needed. Other support is okay but is less individual and feel like the advice they give too broad to be beneficial.
How is your work-life balance?

Work is left at work and I am able to be flexible in my timings and work hours.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

General atmosphere is alright however does not feel like hard work is rewarded meaningfully. Going above and beyond is usually noticed by colleagues but neither seen or encouraged by management. This leads to an apathy towards work with no incentive to produce anything beyond expectations.

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Because the work we do is interesting and does not come at the expense of your personal life. However, I would caveat that people with drive to reach success consider alternatives first.
