Overall, how would you describe your experience at National Grid?
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I can say the role in itself, if you enjoy software and problem-solving, requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to navigate through lots of data to output valuable insights to review the work being completed.
Identifying opportunities to build more efficient deliverables, communicating with various stakeholders and working collaboratively to achieve a unified goal and reducing project risks.
Planning requires a way looking ahead, understanding the potential issues and looking at way to mitigate risks to steer the project in a direction that would not compromise on quality and be built in the most effective way possible. In the ongoing duties of a Planner in the everyday work being done, a holistic view is also considered to evaluate the constraints that may hinder the progress of a project and to reassess resources, ensuring key dates are met and critical activities are inadvertently impacted.

There are days, dependent on the role and project, which requires lots of travel however the business does support the wellbeing of its employees and communicates the importance of one's own safety as well as providing as much support as possible to ensure you are well.
