Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Within my role at National Gas, I have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects. On a day-to-day basis, I work on developing and analysing scenarios that map the National Transmission System (NTS).
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The programme has been fantastic, enabling me to develop real-world work experience alongside my studies for a Higher National Certificate (HNC).

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have had the opportunity to both develop on the knowledge i had coming into the role but most importantly develop a multitude of new skill that i can take on into the rest of my career.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The course has been fantastic at the University however with it being a new course there have been a few road bumps. However the program National Gas have provided (Interaction) Has been amazing it has allowed me to network with all the other Apprentices and Graduates while developing skills that will be meaningful throughout my career.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

National Gas have been amazing at providing everything i need to thrive both in my studies and within the workplace. For example I am doing a course on Asset Management and i was given the opportunity to move into the Asset department for 5 months. That allowed me to put my studies into practice, network with the asset team and provided me with knowledge i could use with the rest of my studies.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The University have been amazing and i know i can count on them when/if i need anything.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The Course was excellent for providing me a foundation of knowledge for my time in the asset management team however I don't feel it its as relevant for the SC&R Team i permanently work in.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are lots of activities provided my National Gas for example they have a Football team, Gym and there are always Professional networking events held.
