Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work with sheet metal and recently been mainly using the laser cutter so that is setting up the laser cutter and then placing the sheet on them and selecting the correct program to use and then starting the machine, when it is finish i get the cuttings out of the laser and then repeat the process. i also do deburring which is taking off excess metal and the product and making sure that they do not have sharp edges

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i really enjoy this because i feel like it helps me get into the world of working and i have found that everyone around me is very nice and supportive

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

i have learned many of new skills, like how to run a laser cutting and how to use the correct techniques for deburring.

the program is structured very well because i feel like i have an equal opportunity as everyone else does and everything seems to very organised and there never no plan.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

i have received very good support from my employer by them helping me with me education days and that when i am stuck on i job i feel like i can go and ask anyone to help and they will be happy to

a good amount they let me go to college 2 times a week instead of 1 to let me catch up and make sure that my assignments are handed in on time and that they are the best to my ability

i feel like it gives me more understanding about my job and opens many opportunities to me as they can
