Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is a Control and Instrumentation first year apprentice. Day to day, my job involves completing training tasks to develop my knowledge and prepare me for when I go out on placement on site. I spend time building to specification and fault finding if it didn't work first time.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy figuring out the problems involved with our learning tasks. Being given a function and having to figure out how to create a system design that performs that function is very challenging and I have learned a lot in my first 8 months. Also, I find that there are many other opportunities to develop our knowledge at the company. I have become the volunteer safety rep for my building and I've been able to learn how to do fire alarm tests as well as safety walk arounds
