Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My current role as an apprentice is learning to set up CNC machines and operate them. I machine parts and conduct routine inspection to verify that they are being manufactured towards the clients drawing dimensions.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Currently setting is the enjoyable part of my role as it involves a lot steps. However when operating the day can become slightly boring when you machine has a long run time.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot of new skills like setting up machinery and operating them. These machinery involve CNC mills, Saw, Hand drill and many more. I have also learnt how to make tooling and machine maintenances

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is structured so that I am going through placements every 6 months and has been running smoothly however some delays in further development due to how busy the company is.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive support from all members of staff and all are happy to help anytime I ask for it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I get enough support from the company that they are able to provide me with space and time to get uni exam or revision done.

The modules I am learning in uni can be linked to my work however some I cannot make a correlation.

Being good with your maths for your first couple modules in uni.
