Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role involves doing research on the possibility of creating better solutions for predicting traffic demands on road through modern technologies like Artificial intelligence or Machine Learning. We work on sprint basis where a typical sprint is 2 weeks. Every sprint, we research on one particular aspect of traffic solution dealing with arrival profile of vehicles by exploring the data provided by TFL.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I would believe that my work as an intern was equivalent to a full time employee and the responsibilities assigned were satisfactory.

Daily work involves writing python scripts and creating visualization in Excel so I have improved my skills in Ms-Excel and python.

My team and colleagues were very supportive. There was always tech lead to help me solve my technical doubts in work. And manager was very friendly and approachable.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company atmosphere was very friendly and fun. There were many fun activities always going on. There are games in the meeting rooms plus free coffee machines everywhere.
