Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role involves developing end to end systems that improves the workflow of our internal users. I work closely with my team to deliver high standards solutions using best available technologies while providing high scalability and maintainability. I also have meeting with the clients we develop the solutions for in order to better understand their requirements.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I had a lot of ownership over my project and the way it is developed and integrated. I was tasked with designing the plan and migration strategy.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have learned what it takes to develop large scale systems and how to deploy and deliver them to our users. I also improved my hard (coding, unit testing, frontend) and soft skills (client meetings, requirements analysis).

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I have worked closely to both my mentor and manager. They made sure that there was always an open channel of communication. The other team members were also happy to help me when I needed it.
