Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I was put onto a Leveraged Service Desk once i had finished onboarding into DXC. This is beneficial as i built core skills that i can carry with me when i progress into a new role.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
The service desk is not where i wanted to stay, but my manager made it clear that it is a stepping stone for building core skills. QA provide great learning (college) that fits in with my work schedule perfectly. They supply knowledgeable tutors that teach essential modules to complete the course.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
My communication, problem solving, SD knowledge and much more have drastically improved since i started with DXC.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
Support is available 24/7

5/5
I am supported every step of the way.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

3/5
My training doesnt directly correlate to my work, but the training includes good skills for progression into better IT roles.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
DXC offers many extra-curricular activities and ways to get involved with the community.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend DXC to a friend?

Yes

Why?

For entry level IT, DXC is at the forefront. They provide learning, jobs, support and progression.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to DXC?

Do it. Apply for different levels of apprenticeship, you might fit in as a degree apprentice rather than an apprentice, making more money and working more prestigious jobs.
