Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
In my role at Arm, I contribute to a range of technical projects while continuing to develop my programming skills in Python, C++, and C. My day-to-day work involves both independent learning and practical application, allowing me to steadily build proficiency across these languages. Collaboration is a key part of my role. I regularly coordinate with team members to support project goals, share progress, and align on technical approaches. This includes participating in discussions, problem-solving as a group, and contributing to a productive team environment.
A particularly valuable aspect of my position is the opportunity to engage with highly experienced professionals in the field. Working alongside and learning from these individuals provides insight into industry best practices and helps accelerate my own development. Being in an office setting further enhances this experience, enabling direct interaction, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.
Overall, my role combines hands-on technical work, continuous learning, and collaborative teamwork within a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my programme a lot, I feel that it provides us with the best balance of both work-related stuff / opportunities as well as university related opportunities. On top of that, I am able to spend my time doing what I love and being able to work on it hands-on!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt many new skills, ranging from new languages (C++ and C), working on improving some of my existing skills (Python), improving my social skills and communication as part of a team, improved my time-management skills and overall improved my understanding of Computer Science not from a schooling perspective but from a working-world perspective.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is extremely well-structured, where I am able to work on my tasks in the due time that I have but additionally, I am also able to work hard on my University and there is adequate time for me to be able to work on both things, without needing to do have to work for countless hours outside of working hours and not having any free time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of help from my employers, as they have made it so that my transition to the company is nice and relaxed, as well as being able to take time in my day to work on my project as well.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I receive strong and consistent support from my training provider while working towards my qualifications. They provide clear guidance, useful resources, and are always available to answer questions or offer feedback. This support helps me stay on track and feel confident in my progress.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My qualification supports my role very well by reinforcing the technical knowledge and skills I use in my day-to-day work. It helps me better understand key concepts and apply them more effectively in practical situations. Overall, it has a positive impact on both my confidence and performance.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are a bunch of extracurricular activities to get involved in, such as Team events, bowling parties, after-work board game nights and many more things. I love these activities as it gives me an opportunity to bond with my colleagues and other apprentices as well.
