Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

3 - managing an overview of a fibre route project, however due to budget cuts I was transferred to a different team in a different area of the business where now I deal with improvement initiatives.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The educational side of my apprenticeship was terrible, the content I was taught was minimal, the resources to revise from where small, the communication from my tutor was terrible.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Having already done a degree in business and management I found that I was mostly honing my skills rather than learning new ones, however there were a few things that went into more detail.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was very poor, the quality of the teaching in the first part of the apprenticeship was terrible, there was a lot of misinformation about what documents were required for the EPA, and the PMQ had terrible preparation from my tutor.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received a lot of support from my employer.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I received a poor amount of support, I booked in calls which ended up being less than 10 minutes for support, I received minimal feedback on my work.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel that the skill of working towards the apprenticeship alongside my work provided more qualification then the actual content.

Would you recommend Virgin Media O2 to a friend?

Why?
I was a transfer from O2 to Virgin Media and the process has been terrible. The company locked all of my benefits to my O2 account and still (2 years on) I can't access half of the benefits I should be able to use. Also, they have no sympathy or support for making people redundant, there was so much miscommunication when it came to my team being made redundant, I was told that I would also not have a job, but this wasn't correct.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Virgin Media O2?
Just be yourself, focus on team building.
