Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a level 2 apprentice in accountancy I am essentially building the foundations of how financial information is recorded and processed. On a day-to-day basis I work processing invoices, completing statement and bank reconciliations etc.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am enjoying my level 2 accountancy apprenticeship, as it allows me to develop practical skills while gaining real workplace experience. Although some aspects can be repetitive and challenging at times, I appreciate the opportunity I have and loving the learning side of it too.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt a range of new skills I did not have before during my apprenticeship. These are thinks such as invoice processing, bank reconciliation, statement reconciliation, aged payable and a period end process.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is well organised. Everything I have learnt so far has been a step-by-step process, everything has been taught in order from start to finish.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer throughout my apprenticeship. If my daily tasks are done and I have an exam coming up they will allow me time in my work day to revise. They are very good with feedback, I feel like feedback is always the best way of learning and fixing mistakes. I receive help whenever I ask for it also and everybody is very happy to help.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I do receive a good level of support from my training provider whilst working towards my end goal of passing my AAT level 2. My tutor provides studying lessons that help towards upcoming exams. I feel like my style of learning is a lot different to what my tutor presents but I have started to get to terms with it. Although I do feel personal revision is what works best for me. I also have regular reviews and feedback sessions to track my process in my course.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel my qualifications helps perform better in my role as the knowledge I am gaining from going to college has started to become a day-to-day habit in my work. Its helped a lot to make more sense in the work I am completing.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are many thing we can do. We regularly go on quiz nights together. We also have many rewards nights we can attend and support the business but also build relationships with our colleagues.
