My role is working on things such as: Invoice processing, statement reconciliations and bank reconciliations, ensuring that everything is accurate and up to date.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I do AAT Level 2, which I enjoy as it is practical and helps me understand how accounting works in real business situations.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed new skills such as bookkeeping and using accounting systems, whilst developing my attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured overall with clear progression between topics, and resources are clear and help to support my learning.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive good support from my employer, with guidance available when needed and opportunities to develop my skills in the workplace.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive good support from my training provider in which they provide clear and readily available resources. I also receive regular feedback from both tutors on how I'm getting on in lessons.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification increases my knowledge of accounting processes, allowing me to apply this knowledge in my daily work. Which in turn increases my accuracy, and the reduction of mistakes.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have Social events pretty often, with loads of opportunities for team building activities to take place, such as quiz nights at local pubs. There is also an area in our office dedicated for lunch activities, where for example we can compete in darts and pool against each other.

Why?
Everyone is open and approachable for things such as questions, with them sacrificing some of their time in order to assist with these queries. This allows for work to get completed efficiently as less mistakes are made, preventing them from becoming bigger issues down the line. For things such as social events and lunch breaks, the people here are great at making you feel included in things such as games and conversations.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Virgate Accounts Ltd?
I would start by researching the company and then researching on what course you would like to do. Another tip would be to show enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, and be confident in asking for advice from others, as everyone is willing to help.
