Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
I work in property marketing for a nationwide property management company, supporting the promotion and positioning of residential developments and the wider business brand. My role is very varied and combines marketing, branding, content creation and campaign management across multiple projects.
On a day-to-day basis, I manage marketing campaigns for new property launches, create content for social media, websites and email marketing, and help develop brand identities for different developments. I also coordinate with designers, developers, videographers and external agencies to make sure campaigns are delivered on time and consistently across all platforms.
A big part of my role involves supporting Build-to-Rent and property management schemes by creating marketing materials that attract residents, investors and partners. I use tools such as Meta Ads, LinkedIn, email automation platforms and project management software to track performance, manage deadlines and organise campaigns.
Alongside this, I help produce podcast content, analyse marketing performance data and contribute ideas for improving brand awareness and engagement. The role is fast-paced and creative, with no two days looking exactly the same, which has helped me develop strong communication, organisation and digital marketing skills.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

5/5
I enjoy my programme a lot as it has allowed me to expand my skill set and gain experience across a wide range of marketing activities. The work is varied and fast-paced, which means no two days are the same, so the role always feels engaging and dynamic. I’ve also really enjoyed being part of an inclusive and supportive company culture where I feel encouraged to learn, contribute ideas and continue developing both professionally and personally.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
I’ve learnt and developed a wide range of skills throughout my apprenticeship, with the majority being gained through hands-on experience in the role. I’ve built my knowledge across areas such as digital marketing, campaign management, content creation, branding, social media and analytics, while also improving my organisation and project management skills through working on multiple live projects at once.
Alongside the technical side, the apprenticeship has really helped develop my confidence. Working closely with different teams, external partners and senior colleagues has improved my communication skills and made me more confident sharing ideas, managing projects and taking ownership of my work.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
My programme has been very well organised and structured throughout the apprenticeship. At the start, I received all of my learning sessions scheduled into my calendar, which made it much easier to plan my workload and manage my time effectively around both work and study commitments. I was also given a clear indication of the expected EPA timeline early on, which helped me stay organised and prepared throughout the programme.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
I receive a lot of support from my employer throughout my apprenticeship. I have regular weekly catch-up sessions as well as monthly 1-2-1 meetings, which give me the opportunity to discuss my progress, ask questions and receive feedback on my work. I always feel supported in my development and encouraged to continue building my skills and confidence. The company is very approachable and invested in helping me succeed both within my role and through my apprenticeship programme.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
I receive a strong level of support from my training provider while working towards my qualification. Throughout the course I’ve regularly received detailed feedback on assessments, which has helped me understand where I’m doing well and where I can improve. I’m currently going through my EPA process and have monthly check-ins to make sure everything is progressing well and that I feel prepared for each stage. The support has been consistent and helpful throughout the apprenticeship.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
My qualification has helped me perform better in my role by giving me a stronger understanding of marketing frameworks, theories and strategic thinking. As I’m completing a Level 4 qualification, it has allowed me to build knowledge that I wouldn’t have naturally picked up through day-to-day work alone. I’ve been able to apply what I’ve learnt directly into my role, helping me approach campaigns and marketing activity in a more strategic and informed way.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
There are lots of opportunities to get involved in activities outside of day-to-day work. We’re encouraged to attend professional networking events, which has been great for building industry knowledge and confidence. The company also holds two major social events each year, including a summer event and Christmas celebration.
Alongside this, we have quarterly wellness hikes, lunch and learn sessions, and the team often gets together outside of work socially as well. It creates a really positive and inclusive culture where people are encouraged to connect both professionally and personally.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend CERT Property to a friend?

Yes

Why?

Yes, 100%. CERT Property has given me the opportunity to start my career in marketing as a Content Creator Apprentice and progress into a Senior Marketing Executive role. Throughout both my Level 3 and Level 4 apprenticeships, the company has continuously supported my development and encouraged me to improve my existing skills while learning new ones.
I’ve always been given opportunities to work on projects that I genuinely enjoy, which has helped me grow both professionally and personally. The supportive culture, variety of work and encouragement to progress make it a great place to build a career.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to CERT Property?

Bring personality into everything you do. CERT is a collaborative, people-focused environment, so how you communicate and show up matters just as much as the work itself. Being open, engaged and willing to get involved helps you settle in quickly and build strong relationships across the business.
At the same time, don’t be afraid to ask questions or share ideas early on. There’s a real culture of encouragement, and people genuinely value fresh thinking, even from those just starting out.
Staying organised and proactive will also help you thrive, as things move quickly across multiple projects.
