Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role varies team to team, but cover at the moment basic IT skills, allowing us develop the basics so as we progress we can learn the more advanced skills in a specialised area.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The Program is great, I've had the opportunity to meet people from all over the country, and it has expanded my knowledge in areas I struggled with but also areas were I though I already knew.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

So far yes, a lot of business related skills, i.e. communication & Writing emails, etc...

Fairly well organised, all documents and details you need to know are told to you/given to you ahead of time.

There are plenty of support networks and people dedicated to helping you through your apprenticeship journey.

There are plenty of apprentice run organisations that are aimed at helping apprentices through there career, from social networks to sports teams to just an event to network.

Why?
Lots of apprenticeship opportunities across the business into pretty much any career you could want to develop in, and there are plenty of opportunities to move around the business from one department to another or between sites, so very flexible.
They also provide a huge support network to aid new and current apprentices and graduates with anything they may need.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Don't be afraid to talk, or ask questions.
There's never a silly question, the answer might not be what you expect.
