Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Moving around placements within the business every 3 months. In current placement I assist in tracking and enabling test and commissioning activities.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

This programme gives a great insight into all areas of the business and is very useful in building all round knowledge.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have had the opportunity to learn and develop many skills such as presenting, digital skills and engineering knowledge.

Great structure of placement rotations.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots of support available from function leads, skills coaches and anonymous employee help programmes.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Teaching and feedback is adequate. Some unclarity on assignments, their brief and when the are released and due. It is sometimes a long time between submission and getting feedback.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There are sports teams available and also some professional memberships available.

Why?
Lots of support available and lots of opportunity to develop in the future. There is also lots of great stretch activities to do.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
For interviews, the STAR method really helped me to do well. When applying, do research on the business to help you in the interview process and to help find what area/apprenticeship you are interested in.
