5/5
I really enjoy my role as it gives me the opportunity to take genuine ownership of workstreams while continuously learning and developing new skills. I find the mix of hands‑on execution and strategic thinking particularly motivating, especially within digital and eCommerce, where I can see the direct impact of my work. Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
Through this role, I’ve developed a strong set of commercial and digital marketing skills, particularly in eCommerce, content optimisation and brand operations. I’ve grown my ability to manage multiple stakeholders, work cross‑functionally and take ownership of projects from briefing through to execution. The role has also helped me build confidence, improve my attention to detail and strengthen my understanding of how strategic decisions translate into day‑to‑day brand performance.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

3/5
The role has been well structured and organised overall, with clear responsibilities, strong support and well‑defined processes that have helped me settle in quickly and perform effectively. Having clear ownership areas and regular check‑ins has made it easy to understand expectations and priorities. While there have been some challenges at times with rotation planning and changes in workstreams, these experiences have also helped me become more adaptable and proactive. On the whole, the structure of the role has supported my development and allowed me to get the most out of each placement.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
I receive a high level of support from my employer, both in terms of day‑to‑day guidance and longer‑term development. I have regular check‑ins with my manager, clear access to support when needed and encouragement to ask questions and take ownership of my learning. There is a strong emphasis on development, with opportunities for feedback, training and exposure to new areas, which has helped me feel supported, confident and motivated in my role.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
I receive good support from my training provider while working towards my qualification, with clear guidance on coursework, deadlines and assessment requirements. There is regular communication and access to tutors when support is needed, which helps keep me on track alongside my day‑to‑day role. While balancing work and study can be challenging at times, the structure and support provided has helped me manage my workload effectively and continue progressing confidently through the programme.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?

Yes

Why?

I would recommend Unilever to others because it provides a supportive, well‑structured environment where development is genuinely prioritised. There are strong learning opportunities, meaningful responsibility from an early stage and exposure to real business impact, which makes the work both engaging and rewarding. The culture is inclusive and collaborative, and I’ve felt encouraged to learn, ask questions and grow in confidence throughout my time here.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?

One tip I would give is to be proactive and open to learning from the outset. Taking ownership of work, asking questions early and making the most of feedback really helps you get the most value from the role. I’d also recommend embracing the variety of experiences and rotations, as they offer a great opportunity to build a broad skillset and understand how different parts of the business connect.
