Overall, how would you describe your experience at Virgin Media O2?
The experience so far has been very good with lots of support and opportunities to progress with clear career paths set out.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
We get a lot of responsibility early on giving us great exposure with the support so we don't feel lost. The responsibility i enjoy most is my calls with finance business partners where I feed them information and insights they can rely on.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

As i have responsibility over certain areas, their completion is on me so when it is done i get a great sense of fulfilment out of it and get praise from people in my team.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

There is good pay progression set out as well as lots of benefits we can take advantage of including private healthcare etc.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

This year we are put in a role to give us the basic background that will prepare me for any role i may be in in the future.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

We are constantly put through formal training as well as learning by diffusion from more experienced people in the office.

How is the support you receive?

We have many lines of support we can turn to including a structure which sees us buddy up with older graduates which allows us to ask maybe less work focused questions which was particularly helpful when moving for this role.
How is your work-life balance?
5/5
Whilst some parts of the month we may be working longer hours, this is leveled out when things are not busy which gives us time to have a bit of a relax after a few weeks of intense work.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

There is a great culture within the office and outside with many events put on to make you feel connected. The graduates i work with are especially close and we do things together outside of the business organising.

There are great initiatives and we are always reminded of responsibilities and company values we should all be working alongside.

We are always reminded of the company values so that everyone in the company holds them in anything they do.

Yes
Why?
As a grad scheme there is not much more you could ask for as it is very supported and it is clear they are behind our development and want us to succeed.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

The role description and structure reflect exactly what i am doing now including the progression and support we would receive.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Virgin Media O2?
Be yourself. A lot of application processes can be very superficial however this one was just finding out who you are, what your strengths are and if you would be a good fit for the company.
