Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities during the placement included; compiling a due diligence report on a company, completing stock transfer forms, compiling a number of research documents on various subjects, (these ranged from the effects the draft housing safety bill on housebuilders, too a number of documents on PSC's and how far up the chain you go, and how they work in regards to trusts and LLPs) and drafting letters of instruction, termination and suspension. Overall I was given a lot of responsibility and able to work on live cases/transactions. I also had significant interactions with all members of the team from trainee to associate.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really useful in helping me make the decision about what firm to choose.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Yes I have learnt the importance of time management in a law firm and how important knowing how to prioritise is. Additionally, I learnt how important attention to detail is through the feedback I was given and this meant I made sure to develop new techniques for making sure my work was fully accurate.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Super friendly culture, everyone was chatty and approachable and wanted to say hi and get to know you. Was one of the main reasons I picked the firm
