Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I get to talk to lots of people on my team. Since it's my first year I get a lot of help with the work I'm set. Some work is challenging and other times it can be more straight forwards. Everyone is very understanding and relaxed so I can ask for plenty of support when I go through my work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Its very good, I get a great qualification at the end and get to learn lots about audit and how governing bodies function.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I've gotten to use Excel a lot, which has helped me get a lot better at it. I am more comfortable speaking to new people.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

There is a great structure within the NAO. Only fault can be the service provider at times but that isn't the NAO's fault. Essentially some communication can be poor but there's loads of support within the NAO to help with that.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Loads of support! Everyone here is always keen to help and is very friendly. Most people can relate to what you're going through too, therefore they all understand.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We have calls every so often and there's places to go to get support but I prefer talking to someone about it rather than emails. The calls could be more regular.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Its very helpful in my role and is one of the best qualifications to have in finanace.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yeah there are loads of groups to join if you wanted. There's always something going on it seems

Why?
Great place to start your career. Could even be a great place to work your whole career. Everyone is so friendly and it doesn't feel like you get pushed hard every day, therefore I dont feel drained when I work and I'm happy to work everyday too.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to National Audit Office?
It's a great place to work. I feel extremely lucky to work here. It's a great opportunity to get a good apprenticeship where you feel supported.
