Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Most of my day is spent either in different parts of a data analysis project workflow or software design implementation.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Yes, organisational and time management skills have improved massively. Additionally my confidence in leading meetings /STEM events has gone up massively. My technical ability, while having increased, I do not feel has been given the chance to grow properly due to the organisation being so engineering focused.
This has meant that there is no clear role models or anyone to give technical advice to me and the other apprentices.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
The organisation of my course is frankly terrible. We are promised placements around the business that rotate every 6 months and while other courses get them (still very delayed) due to the lack of focus on digital technology the DTS apprentices never rotate.
I feel that this is due to the fact that nobody at our site is sure what my course is, or if they even know about it. However, this is inexcusable as the course has been in the business for 5 years and nobody has made the effort to inform employees what we do.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
1/5
Frankly, none. Especially when it comes to university and technical skills
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
