Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As an electrical apprentice I am taught and allowed to install various types of electrical installations at a very high standard, and have the opportunity to be trained by some of the industry’s best electricians.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Ng Bailey are incredible at supporting and pushing their apprentices to achieve high levels of success and quality in their respective fields, whilst also creating an encouraging and comfortable environment to learn and develop in.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have gained a variety of skills throughout my apprenticeship such as the termination of various specialist cables. For example steel wired armoured and mineral insulated copper conductors.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is incredibly well organised and structured as you are frequently set targets and goals to reach and achieve by certain dates. This is achieved through site reviews with supervisors and regular meetings and call ins with our apprentice development partners. This provides an excellent level of support and guidance into achieving the best you can as an apprentice.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

As much support as we need is always offered and provided. There has never been an occasion throughout my apprenticeship where I have required assistance and not been helped promptly and with professionalism and genuine care.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Again, as much as we require. It is always delivered with genuine care and as much help as needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It provides all the necessary information and training to perform at a high level in both a technical aspect, as well as sculpting the behaviours needed for success.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Why?
NG Bailey put their all into everything they set out to do, including their apprenticeship program. I have been guided and pushed by some of the best people in the industry and credit a lot of my success to the help I’ve been given. NG Bailey prides itself on producing the very best and they treat their apprentices the same way. There is in my opinion no better training out there for an apprenticeship in our fields.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NG Bailey?
Show interest in the company and the role and always push yourself to a high standard of success. However, it is vital to always ask for help whenever you need it.
