Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am a trainee legal executive in the Public Law department. My job is fast paced and demanding but extremely rewarding. I run a small caseload of my own with the supervision of one of our senior solicitors and have the opportunity to assist other fee earners with drafting, case management, research and admin.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My training is interactive and engaging. Cygnet have always been very supportive of me and give me every opportunity to excel in my career and in my apprenticeship. My Course is interesting and the cohort and tutors are responsive and helpful. The materials are very accessible.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

MY drafting, research and advising skill shave progressed significantly since starting my training.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is well structured. I am kept informed of key dates and expectations are set out clearly.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am very well supported by my employer who provides me with the time to complete my OTJ training and allows me to prioritise my studies when needed. They allow me to work flexibly to support my studies and progression around my personal life.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My tutors are always quick to respond to any query and very interactive, I have regular check ins and reviews.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has helped my drafting, legal research and advising skills. It has also given me an insight into the time and money management of a firm and compliance.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We are involved in a number of networking events and are often given the opportunity to complete training with outside companies.
