Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
My role is to understand and learn how to operate inside a fast-moving warehouse environment as well as developing to become a leader as a management colleague. My role is to move across multiple Asda sites working within each operation managing different colleagues across multiple different departments within each site. This would include assigning colleagues a particular role, managing the flow of inbound stock within the warehouse and ensuring it gets loaded adequately and on time.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

5/5
I think the programme has transformed me into a driven leader within a dynamic and competitive industry. I feel well supported in my role so that I feel confident that I can handle whatever challenges my job will give me.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
Communication skills, leadership skills, time management and coordination

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

4/5
I think the structure of my programme within my organisation is secure but there could be slightly better coordination between my university and employer so what I learn at university can be more applicable to my role.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
I always feel well supported in my role by my employer.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

3/5
I feel my university can sometimes be disjointed which has led to deadline dates being changed abruptly and mix ups between other cohorts.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
I think there is valuable content within my degree that applies to my job role. I also feel the training provider helps to improve my confidence as a leader in my position as well.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
I have been given opportunities to network by my employer which include social events to celebrate Asda as well as conferences at Asda House. My colleagues also frequently hold social activities outside of work.
