Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Time was split between analytics and sales. Where in the former, trainings were organized twice a week while the latter was client facing.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes - during the sales days I had to structure my own days. Hence, decide when to interact with clients, colleagues and what projects to take on.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Developed my communication skills massively as I had to speak to various different clients on the daily basis. Further, my multitasking skills have also improved as I had to work on multiple projects at the same time whilst also completing my normal day-to-day tasks and then prioritise some over the others.

We all received lots of guidance and help from our managers as well as HR during the whole course of the internship.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Bloomberg has a very flat structure, which makes the company culture very unique. Everyone is very approachable and super helpful. Overall, the general atmosphere was very nice and I felt welcomed there.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed it very much. I had many opportunities to socialise with my fellow interns as well as full-time employees. Further, I learned so much - the training was conducted really well and we were given a lot of responsibility early on.
