Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
On a day‑to‑day basis, I assist with woodland management, woodland creation schemes, and harvesting operations management. This includes carrying out site visits, collecting field data, identifying constraints, and supporting the preparation of maps, reports, grant applications, and budgets. I also help with operational tasks such as liaising with contractors, reviewing risk assessments and method statements, and monitoring works on site to ensure they are completed safely and to specification.
In addition, I contribute to client communication, tendering processes, timber sales, and administrative tasks, while continuing to build my professional knowledge of silviculture, legislation, health and safety, and sustainable forest management.
