Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
On a day‑to‑day basis, my role involves an array of work, such as:
1. Supporting training programmes- Assisting with the planning, coordination, and delivery of training activities. For example, our quarterly welcome programme for our new starters.
2. Learning content creation- Helping to create learning materials such as toolkits, internal communications, and digital learning content (e.g. AI videos).
3. Stakeholder collaboration- Internally, I work with managers, fellow early career professionals, and wider teams. Externally, I work with education institutions and other companies to empower young people into tech and make students aware of the career pathways post school years.
4. Intern collaboration project- I work with 4 fellow interns across the country on our intern project 'Brand Ambassador Programme'. We lead this programme by running monthly meetings, offering guidance and support to our programme members, keeping them regularly informed on whats going on internally and externally at Siemens.

Key skills I have learnt or developed:
- Strong organisational skills- Through managing multiple tasks, prioritising deadlines, and supporting several initiatives simultaneously. I have also strengthened my communication skills, particularly when working with people across different teams and coordinating activities.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills enhanced- Particularly when working data. I have also developed my digital and content‑creation skills from when I have created internal tools and supporting digital learning (AI videos).
- Grown in confidence and professionalism- I have become more confident in taking ownership of tasks and contributing ideas, as I always feel supported and valued. I have also improved my teamwork and collaboration skills, particularly when working on cross-team projects or working with external companies and educational institutions.
The placement has played a key role in developing both my technical and transferable skills, leaving me better prepared for future roles and professional challenges.

Recommendations & Advice
Would you recommend Siemens to a friend?
What advice would you give to others applying to Siemens
I would recommend researching Siemens’ values and culture, and thinking about how your interests and strengths align with them - this can really help strengthen an application.
During the application and interview process, share any of your experiences, even if they come from school projects, volunteering, or part‑time work. Siemens values transferable soft skills just as much as technical knowledge.
I would encourage applicants to ask questions and actively engage throughout the process. Curiosity and a willingness to get involved makes a strong impression!
