Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Study mech principles, electrical principles, calculus, drawing, CAD, Health and safety
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
Quite nice days, however, at the beginning of the apprenticeship the days had no structure and the staff at college had no idea what was going on. Didn’t get all my tutors till January. Since then it has improved

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt plenty of knowledge and skills in all fairness, I know a lot more than I did

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
It is now good and well structured but at the start there was no structure and the staff at college didn’t know what was happening
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Always offering support if needed and everyone is very nice
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
After speaking to apprentices on site, they say that the job role is nothing like the subjects we learnt and there is nothing similar about them at all. Health and Safety is informative, Drawing and CAD are useful but everything else seems like a waste of time after speaking to people on site. I have learnt a lot but considering I won’t be using most of it I don’t think it’s really going to help.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
Not sure
