Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

4/5
HR Data analyst working with multiple systems to produce on going and ad-hoc reporting, working within a small team of analysts.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

5/5
The Digital & Technical Leadership apprenticeship with a focus on data analysis has been very interesting, both from a technical standpoint of introducing more theoretical knowledge around architecture, practical knowledge such as applying machine learning using Python, and for general business knowledge. Some modules haven't applied to a HR role, and would be more applicable in commercial or operational type roles.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
Main improvements have been using Python and having additional CPD around Fabric. Beyond the technical I have a better understanding of digital leadership in terms of how innovation happens and structures that allow it, how to communicate change and then useful tools from mapping stakeholders to building business plans.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
Very well organised. We had one module slightly disrupted due to the lead tutor being unwell but the course made allowances and deadlines were moved backwards. Otherwise the pace of the course has been not too fast.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
E.ON have provided me with the prerequisite time and support to fulfil my apprenticeship hours and are flexible when I need to join a webinar etc. during general work hours.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
Level of support from QA has been excellent, skills coach/tutor has helped me wrap my head around the academic side of the course versus the apprenticeship goals and there are additional workshops put on if you need help with academic writing, research or other subjects.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
Application of the degree should be straightforward as it's already focused on data analysis. Each module I think you learn something that can be applied to your daily role.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

3/5
I am involved semi-actively in several communities/networks internally.
