Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My day to day learning included my usual customer service role 4 days a week and then would have Mondays 9am-5pm as a study day to go over learning packs and complete any assignments.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying the events assistant level 3 apprenticeship however I have struggled to relate this to my current job role to be able to complete off the job learning and gaining experience in what I have learnt during the programme.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learned a lot of skills in seminars and through elanring packs however I have not been able to use these in my role or see how they work in a real life situation I have worked on.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

My management at E.ON have been very supportive but unfortunately we haven't had anything I can be involved in to use the skills I have learnt. I found JGA quite unhelpful as they seemed to forget my role is not an events assistant day to day and when I would advise I couldn't do something off the job as required there was no support given.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

My management have been very flexible with allowing time for me to study and attend seminars.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Every time I speak to the training provider its as if they forgot our previous conversations and my current job role not aligning with the apprenticeship making it difficult for me to share ideas in group situations.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The main reason I wanted to complete this course was to gain experience and skills in this area of work to be able to move towards a career in this area of E.ON.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We only have networking events however these are as and when and not guaranteed to come up in an area I can be involved in.
