Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I do Machine Safety Risk Assessments and Physical Guarding Assessment, Engineering Change Controls, Hazardous Area Awareness Classification, go on Gemba walks in Plant Rooms, attended compliance meetings.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy it as I'm learning lots of new things and the people round me helping are great.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Well structured, I have 6-12 months rotation in the different engineering teams on site so by the end of the programme I should be all rounded.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Lots I have been given an older mentor who is a ChemEng graduate, an apprentice buddy in 5th year that does the same course as me, also multiple managers that all help me out.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lots, we are given a study day every week to focus on the university side of the apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Very well the professional engineering side of the degree helps teach me habits to implement at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes there is a sports and social club on site called Allenhanburys they have lots of sports including - netball, football, badminton, tennis, squash, kayaking, rock climbing and many more, and they have a pub and pub garden. We also host lots of town halls and professional networking events like awards.
