Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
On a day to day basis, my roles requires me to be actively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring needs and requirements are met across the duration of the project in a timely and sustainable manor. It has me professionally updating client dashboards to present information about the progression of the ongoing project and the key risks and issues associated. Through out the day, I will schedule and collaborate with members from different departments to effectively ensure progression is made on set tasks.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

5/5
I personally enjoy the programme to a high extent, this is due to the constant learning and growth opportunities that arise with it. everyday feels as if there is something new to be learnt that I can apply to my day-to-day work. The study sessions are both practical and well presented. the structure in which they follow allows me to clearly understand concepts and communicate personal experiences where applicable. all this allows me to improve my work and continue to grow and develop deeper understandings into project management

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
Yes, one key skill in which I have developed is communication, throughout the programme i have developed my understanding in regards to clear and professional communication with stake holders, ensuring conversations are formal and use effective language to ensure project tasks, issues and risks are complete/ mitigated. this skill follows me not only verbally but also in regards to written communication in the form of emails and messages. being able to write concise emails is not only effective and efficient, but also practical when aiming to ensure all stakeholder needs and requirements are met.
Another skill I have learnt is time management, through out the program so far, I have learnt how to effectively structure my week in a optimal format that allows me to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders. having a specific structure allows me to maximise the work complete in-between discussion, while insuring my teams are well informed and able to relay information back to be on a consistent basis.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
My programme is well structured allowing me efficiently manage both my studies and my work with no major conflict. Once every 4 weeks I have a training call with my tutor to study through our next unit in which we are studying. during the process of the four weeks, we have time to both study the pre reading prior to the next training sessions and also complete our portfolio as part of our final submission.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
I receive a high amount of support from my employer. I have weekly calls with my line manager which allows me to discuss my week, raise any concerns or ask any questions about both my work or my studies, this allows me to have effective feedback on how I'm doing and assist me should I not understand something. Further more, my team are very supportive and may also assist me in any areas I may lack the applicable knowledge for. I also have monthly catch up meetings with our L&D business partner who oversees our apprenticeship from an employer perspective. these catch ups consist of an overview of how we feel we are doing during our programme, how we feel about our overall job and anything else we feel we could benefit from and an overview of our entire attitude in regards to our work.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
I feel the support provided from our training provider is extremely beneficial. Following our training calls, we have quarterly review calls with both our training provider and our line manager, presenting a clear overview of how I am doing, how my line manager thinks I'm doing and how my training provider believed I am doing, these calls are also a place for me to speak in regards to the different topics in which we learn and rank the in how confident i feel about the from 1 - 10 allowing both myself and my tutor to see where I am progressing and where needs work. Should I have any major struggles or queries with my studying my tutor is reachable via our online learning site, Email and teams, allowing for easy communication with quick responses which have proven to be effective and beneficial

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
I feel that my qualification directly helps me with my performance in regards to my role, through my course have learnt project management theories which I apply on a day to day basis in relation to my work. my communication with stake holders has significantly increased and i have a clearer understanding of different operations within a project.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
Yes, An example of this would be when I first joined OCS. They had a charitable event in celebration of 125 years of OCS. during this event we were in teams of 5 and collectively had to travel a combined distance of 125 miles while aiming to raise £!25 each for the OCS Foundation
