Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day‑to‑day basis, I support engineers with tasks such as document preparation, data collection, and basic analysis, ensuring work aligns with established engineering standards and procedures. I regularly engage in learning and development activities, including university study, online learning, and enrichment courses, to build underpinning knowledge in areas such as engineering principles, electrical systems, and design processes.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme to a large extent. The structure of the programme has also supported my personal growth, improving my confidence, organisation, and problem‑solving abilities. While it can be challenging at times, these challenges have been positive and motivating, reinforcing my interest in pursuing a long‑term career in engineering.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have learnt new skills and further developed existing ones throughout my programme. I have strengthened my technical skills, particularly in applying engineering principles such as electrical circuits, calculations, and basic analysis, while also developing my ability to use engineering software, including CAD tools and document‑creation applications for professional reporting.

Some days were repetitive before placement and placements were given to some of us late, some courses were repetitive other than that it was alright.
