Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
Currently part of a team, enjoying this part of role as finally in placements. Before this, there was a holdup and a lot of 'filler' time, which seemed like I could have progressed through more than I actually did if there was more organisation. Day-to-day consists of meetings, research and mostly sitting at desks.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I think the repetitive routine makes the job slightly draining at times, but policy allows for 10min breaks every hour, which allows for refreshment and mental wellbeing. I think I anticipate a much brighter future for this apprenticeship due to placement work and actual engineering experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt scheduling and communicating within a team, as well as software tools such as Jira.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
2/5
Past experience/ at the start was slightly chaotic, with not really knowing the full plan made for us and our cohort.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
there was decent communication, but there was gaps when questions were asked about timeframes.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
Diploma assistance was up to standard, with fast response and feedback given. With the university exams and content covered was rather accessible for me.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
some content covered was applicable into everyday work, engineering knowledge is a large factor
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There is certain activities like badminton, football- weekly activities like this help with networking. There's large meetings involving other aspects of the business, networking opportunities as well.
