My role involves supporting the finance and pensions teams in the day-to-day administration and accounting of pension fund activities. I assist in ensuring that financial records are accurate, compliant with regulations, and delivered in a timely manner, while developing my technical accounting knowledge through on-the-job learning and formal study.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have strengthened my financial and accounting skills, particularly in relation to pension fund transactions, reconciliations, and understanding how contributions, benefits, and investment movements are recorded and monitored. My confidence in using financial systems and spreadsheets has improved, and I am now more comfortable working with detailed financial data and identifying discrepancies

So much support, no matter what question I have they always answer it.

They do a couple review throughout the programme, but it fells like it a tick box exercise for them.
