Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
A Day to day basis depends on where you are located for example when planned onto jobs on site you arrive at the substation as normal and have a tool box talk where you read through the safety documentation and sign on to. Once this process has been carried out work can begin this is where we usually use MEWPS to carry out work as our equipment is off of the ground due to safety reasons. We work on various different equipment such as Air Systems Gas Systems Electrical Systems Circuit Breakers, Compressors, Isolators, Earth switches etc we carry out maintenance and repair equipment when required and all jobs are full of new skills and knowledge that can be developed further all being very interesting and fun. When at Eakring to carry out training courses you stay in accommodation at the training centre and are provided with breakfast, lunch and dinner and a room with a double bed, shower, bath, wardrobe, TV etc. Eakring is where you will carry out all of your training courses and make friends and develop you skills and knowledge.
