Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

4/5
design engineering, from CAD to prototyping

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
very enjoyable however the balance of uni and work is a challenge

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
developed lots of skills. i thought i was talented in CAD before the job and realised there was so much more to learn.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
very well structured and organised, all key dates are made available nearly a year in advance

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
given loads of support and always get checked in on to ensure im ok

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

4/5
they offer lots of support however there have been numerous occasions of miscommunication around serious topics, like exams.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

3/5
i think the course had a lot of cross over in the first year as we learnt CAD and prototyping and project management. Since then it has not been too relevant as we learn about welding, CNC, electronics, automation, machining. These skills could be useful in other occupations but as an R&D design engineer, none of this helps at all.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

3/5
there may be, there might not be. there is no advertisements of them if they exist.
