Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves completing daily administrative tasks to support the effective running of operations. I work closely with operatives and supervisors, providing assistance where required to ensure site activities run smoothly. I also deliver toolbox talks, helping to communicate key safety and operational information and contribute to the planning and delivery of projects.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme to a great extent, particularly my foundation degree. I find the course content engaging and valuable, and I appreciate the breadth of learning opportunities available within this career. The programme continues to develop my knowledge and skills, and I find it motivating to apply what I learn in both an academic and practical setting.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed several new skills and further strengthened existing ones. In particular, I have been given the opportunity to develop my management skills within a supportive and encouraging environment. I have also worked towards mineral product related qualifications, including gaining geotechnical knowledge, which has enhanced my technical understanding of quarry operations.
