Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My main role at Stevenage is that of a mixer man, my original role when starting at Tarmac was that of a front wheeled shovel operator.
On a day-to-day basis this involves checking the work first thing in the morning, is still to be mixed, what needs to be mixed, the recipes for that days tarmac mix, timings and which lorries taking what where.
Once this is done, i head over to the the mixer cabin to prepare the computer with that days recipes, with Stevenage only mixing colour tarmac, i have to make sure the right colour pigment is set up to add to the mix at the right time.
Once this is done i fire up the mixing plant and begin mixing.
