Maintaining an area at a good standard, total preventative maintenance checks ensuring efficient running of the plant, taking samples to test for quality specifications for the product

There was full support for being able to safely learn the theory and the job itself by shadowing other operators.

Communication skills, team skills, understanding processes and loops and how to run a plant with problem solving for different problems that can be encountered to keep it running efficient.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Level 2 coursework was a priority, if it landed on a day I was on shift I would be able to leave the job to complete any work that was necessary on attend any meetings on the day.
I would have a structured program for moving areas every 6 months to familiarise myself with the entire machine and learn about all of the different processes.

Full support, always having time off the job for coursework, structured plans for different job roles, always extra help for on the job or any issues outside of work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

training providers very flexible, always finding times to slot you in if extra help is needed, a lot of different exams to cover with teachers with a lot of patience who will also find time to make sure you understand it before the exam.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It has made me understand a lot more of the impact on H&S, code of conducts, better understanding to why we have standards and rules.

From a young age its a very good chance at giving you the opportunity to be responsible as your actions can determine efficiently of the plant, great character development from communication skills to learning about how to safely solve any problems you encounter whilst on the job.
