Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I undertook the Apprenticeship whilst working full-time as a Supervisor in the Crime Recording and Resolution Unit. This involves me managing a team of staff and undertaking duties within the Unit surrounding performance, attendance and management of staff.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoyed my programme, it was informative and gave me good ideas to use within the workplace. The staff were all approachable and friendly and made the whole experience much better.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot of new skills whilst undertaking this qualification - a lot which are being used in my day-to-day role currently. By putting these skills into practice it has made me a more effective Team Leader.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The trainers and all staff involved in the GMP Apprenticeship Academy have ensured this is a structured and well organised programme, being on the first intake we have helped to ensure future intakes have been able to follow us.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employer has been very supportive throughout my time undertaking the Apprenticeship ensuring I had experience needed and all off the job time I required.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My trainers have been very supportive towards myself and my intake - they have been there to answer all questions whenever I have needed advice or assistance. They are professional and always happy to help.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I have learnt a lot more information than I already knew as I was already a Team Leader - this Apprenticeship has ensured I am more knowledgeable and prepared for any obstacles that may come my way in work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have had a group chat where we keep in contact to discuss things we have learnt or help each other and motivate each other when struggling.
