Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I sit within the development team and undertake a varied workload across valuation, agency, and consultancy work for residential development projects.
My role involves a combination of office- and site-based work, depending on the requirements of individual instructions; however, I am typically office-based, producing valuation reports.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I have enjoyed the programme. The dedicated study day throughout the week is very beneficial for university/work balance and plenty of training is provided by the firm.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed and learned a wide range of skills since beginning my apprenticeship. My communication and negotiation skills have improved significantly, alongside my analytical and written abilities.

5/5
The programme is well organised and clearly structured, with a dedicated study day, regular apprenticeship review meetings, and scheduled training days.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
There is plenty of support in place. The flexibility to adjust study days around submission deadlines was particularly helpful, and the training days and webinars provided are useful and relevant.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I rarely required support from my training provider; however, when support was needed in my final year, the lecturers were very helpful in arranging Teams calls to support my understanding of assignments.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Through my studies, I gained a broader understanding of different job roles that overlap with my own, which has been helpful in supporting and informing the advice I provide.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, there are many opportunities to get involved at work through professional networking events, sports and social activities, and more informal events that allow colleagues and contemporaries to connect. It is a very social industry.
