Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
In my role it is my task to work with the supplier to ensure deliveries are on time and meet their contractual dates. I collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve high success. I have access to so many great opportunities and thoroughly enjoy my role on a day-to-day basis.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy my programme. My role is enjoyable and I encounter challenging work that I can use my problem solving skills to tackle. I also enjoy the university delivery as the course consists of many interesting modules which I can take into my day-to-day role.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
My confidence has definitely grown from minute 1 of joining the business. The opportunities available allow me to utilise my skills and gain new skills as I work with a variety of staff in various situations, allowing me to gain the best experience possible. I have also developed my critical thinking skills as parts of my role can be complex therefore I need to think to the highest standards and dissect my work.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I believe my programme is very well structured. Having 4 days on the job completing my role work with 1 day being my university day, allowing me to tackle my assignments and this balance allows me to manage both effectively.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support from my business is immense. Each working day I reach out to various individuals and teams who are always happy to help if needed. If I ever need any help, my team and manager is always happy to answer my questions and teach me the knowledge needed to tackle the activity I am completing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
The support from my training provider has also been brilliant. The lectures are detailed and they are always happy to help. Away from the lectures, they are happy to arrange a call if you are stuck or need to ask any questions. This support is valuable and allows me to thrive when working towards my qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I believe the qualification is valuable and contains lots of great content and knowledge, however as it is an integrated course, some modules can lack procurement content meaning the content is brand new to us within procurement. However, there is going to be modules that focus on procurement which will be relevant to my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are many extra-curricular activities available at BAE Systems. There are stretch projects to be a part of where you can collaborate with other individuals all over the company. There are also opportunities to represent BAE Systems at events which is an opportunity to be proud of.
