Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves governing the use and communications of ethical consumer goods practices. On a day-to-day basis, I review the artwork and claims for multiple brands through the organisations technical governance process. Also, I support the management of a corporate communications channel which I update and monitor regularly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Love the programme, it's exposed me to many new experiences and perspectives that have shaped me as a person.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Programme is structured well with support of the flexible working environment at Unilever. I have access to key resources and the tutors are always available to support. The programme includes regular reviews to track your progress and outline opportunities for growth which enabled my professional development.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The Unilever apprenticeship team is very supportive and offers lots of opportunities for their future careers cohorts. They are open to making suitable adjustments for their apprentices and work with passion and empathy.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I received loads of support from my training provider. She was always available to go over lessons and provided external resources to support my understanding.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It equips with the tools and knowledge to improve the delivery of my role, especially in the emotions driven side. The qualification is widely applicable, with lots of theories to support business as usual.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

National apprentice week where the team host a CV, LinkedIn and guest speaker sessions. There are also development teams such as the outreach team. I've gone to speak at schools and career fairs about opportunities at Unilever with other apprentices. There are many extra curricular activities and networks to get involved in at Unilever.
